Still curious? Ask away—we love questions almost as much as we love grout (and that’s saying something). Go ahead, quiz us like it’s trivia night at Tile Town!
Can I choose a colour?
Yes, you can choose from a selection of colours from our grout colour palette which is attached to your quote for your convenience
What can be done if one of my tiles is cracked?
We can repair a cracked tile that remains soundly fixed by scoring and sealing the crack. This involves grinding or cutting the crack to an even, adequate depth and width. We then apply epoxy grout (as closely colour matched to tile colour as possible) to fill the crack, forming a long-lasting and watertight seal without risking jeprodising the waterproof membrane.
Do you offer a warranty?
Mr Grout offers a warranty of up to 5 years on epoxy grout when completing a full seal and even warranties caulking and ultra grout for 12 months, which includes a workmanship warranty.
What if the leak is coming from around, near, or below my tap fittings or shower head?
While a leak in these areas can sometimes be due to water seeping through porous or cracked grout, we always recommend having a plumber inspect your pipes to rule out plumbing concerns prior to having a shower re-grout and/or seal completed. This will ensure all possible causes are addressed.
How long does a typical grout restoration or shower seal take?
Most of our standard grout restoration and shower sealing jobs are completed within a day. Depending on the scope of work, you’ll usually be able to use your shower again within 24 to 48 hours. We’ll always provide a clear timeline at the time of quoting.
Do I need to be home while the work is being done?
It’s completely up to you! Many clients choose to be home, but if access can be arranged and the area is cleared, our technicians can complete the job while you’re out. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
What areas do you service?
Mr Grout services a wide range of areas across [insert your service region, e.g. Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, etc.]. If you’re unsure whether we cover your suburb, just give us a call or send us a message—we’re happy to help!
Will grout restoration fix mould issues?
Mr Grout uses commercial quality silicone, top of the line, non-porous epoxy grout, or flexible ultra grout improved with a moisture resistant sealer and hardening additive for protection against mould, discolouration, and porosity.
Can you repair grout in areas other than the bathroom?
Definitely! We can restore grout in kitchens, laundries, balconies, floors, and splashbacks—basically anywhere there's tile and grout. If it’s cracked, stained, or just tired-looking, we can bring it back to life.
How do I know if I need a full shower seal or just a regrout?
During your free quote, our technician will assess the condition of your grout, tiles, and silicone. If there are signs of water damage or leaks, a full shower seal may be recommended to ensure long-lasting results.
Is your team licensed and insured?
Yes, all of our technicians are fully trained, licensed, and insured. We take pride in delivering professional, reliable service backed by decades of experience and industry best practices.
Do you remove the old grout before applying the new one?
Absolutely. We never grout over old or damaged grout. We carefully remove the existing grout to adequate depth before applying new grout and sealant to ensure durability, a watertight finish, and a clean, refreshed look.
How should I maintain my grout after restoration?
We recommend keeping your tiled areas well-ventilated and wiping down wet areas regularly. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and opt for pH-neutral products to keep your grout looking fresh and lasting longer.
Can you match the grout colour to my existing tiles?
Yes! We have a wide grout colour range. Whether you want a bold contrast or seamless blend, we’ve got options to suit every look.
Mr Grout offers a chart containing 6 common grout colours to choose from with every re-grout quote but can special order a wide range of colours for those out-of-the-ordinary jobs or designs. (fees apply and exact colour match not guaranteed).
